It is the lack of total body water with metabolic processes. Our bodies are mainly consist of 60% water, so water is lifeblood

CAUSES;

  • vomiting/diarrhea
  • drugs that increase urine excretion
  • excessive sweating
  • decreased water intake 
  • heat

EFFECTS ON BODY;

It upsets the balance of minerals (salt, sugar) in our body. Severe dehydration can cause serious problem.

SYMPTOMS;

  • increased thirst 
  • tiredness
  • decreased urine
  • dizziness
  • headaches
  PREVENTION;

  1. Drink plenty of water 
  2. eat foods high in water like watermelon or grapes
  3. stay hydrated especially when you are ill or doing exercise
